Building Food Security and Stronger Livelihoods Through Climate-Smart Agriculture
Access to safe, nutritious food and sustainable livelihoods should not depend on climate, location, or income. At Devrite Community Foundation, we believe that empowering farmers is key to ending hunger and poverty. Through our Sustainable Agricultural Production Program, we support smallholder farmers to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices that increase food production, protect the environment, and improve household incomes. From hands-on farmer training to improved market access, our goal is to build resilient farming communities that can thrive despite climate challenges.
Program Components
1. Climate-Smart Farming Training
Many smallholder farmers face declining yields due to climate change and poor farming practices. Our training programs strengthen farmers’ knowledge to improve productivity and nutrition, equip farmers with sustainable and climate-smart farming techniques, and promote soil health, crop diversification, and climate adaptation practices

2. Farmer Groups & Cooperative Support
Working together helps farmers grow more and earn more. We support farmers by enhancing collective bargaining power and income opportunities, strengthening farmer groups and cooperatives, and improving access to shared resources, knowledge, and services

3. Youth Engagement in Modern Agriculture
Youth are the future of agriculture. Our youth initiatives encourage youth participation in sustainable food systems, promote modern, innovative, and technology-driven farming and create agribusiness opportunities for young people
