Who We Are
Devrite Community Foundation (DCF) was born from a simple but powerful belief: communities already hold the solutions to their own challenges when given the right support and opportunity. Founded in 2025 in Uganda, DCF is a locally driven non-governmental organization committed to transforming lives through community-led, sustainable development.
In many rural communities across Uganda, families face interconnected challenges including unpredictable climate conditions, limited access to safe water and sanitation, low agricultural productivity, and persistent gender inequality. DCF responds by working at the intersection of these realities. We strengthen smallholder farmers to adopt climate-smart agriculture, support women and youth to become economically independent leaders, promote environmental conservation and climate resilience, and expand access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
What sets DCF apart is our people-centered approach. We do not deliver solutions to communities; we build solutions with them. By partnering with local leaders, women’s groups, and youth, we ensure that our interventions are rooted in local knowledge, culturally relevant, and designed to last beyond project timelines.

To empower rural communities in Eastern Uganda through sustainable agriculture, leadership development, and skills training, while improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene, and strengthening resilience to climate change.

To Provide and Improve Access to Quality Education for Vulnerable children
We aim to reduce the educational disparities that marginalized communities face by providing scholarships, sponsorships, building and renovating schools, and implementing mentorship programs. By improving access to quality education, we help young people unlock their potential and create better opportunities for the future.
To Improve Health and Wellbeing in Marginalized Communities
Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. We work to reduce health disparities by providing free medical services, health education, and preventative care. We aim to improve overall health outcomes, reduce child mortality, and increase access to essential healthcare for underserved populations.
To Promote Community Empowerment Through Development Initiatives
We focus on sustainable development that empowers communities by creating jobs, providing vocational training, improving infrastructure, and establishing clean water and sanitation projects. Our goal is to help communities achieve long-term economic stability and self-sufficiency.
To Raise Awareness and Advocate for Vulnerable Populations
We advocate for the rights of marginalized communities and aim to raise awareness about the challenges they face. Through advocacy campaigns, we strive to influence policy change and mobilize resources that improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable populations
To Foster Partnerships and Build Networks for Social Impact
We work with a variety of stakeholders, including local governments, international organizations, businesses, and donors, to leverage resources and maximize the impact of our initiatives. Collaboration allows us to scale our efforts and create systemic change in the communities we serve.
